Holding a Guinness World Record with a team of 7 other men, winning the 4 person and 2 person mixed teams in Race Across America and taking part in LeTour, Brian is ready to undertake the biggest solo sporting challenge of his career and life. To successfully finish the Race Across America as a solo rider.
He is training hard, running his sole trader business of training other athletes to reach for and achieve their dreams.
His crew is made up of people he knows, respects and in some cases has very special relationships with, namely his fiancé and daughter. Not only this but, he will bear his soul to the world as the endeavour is filmed.
Just Sweat No Tears, a sole trading company run by Brian Welsh was named by his daughters.
The company proudly coaches athletes of all levels to achieve their dreams.

Race Across America is a 3,00+ mile race (4,800+ km) single stage race where cyclists must provide their own support and complete a set route within defined time limits.
The riders can take place in teams of up to 1, 2, 4 or 8. They are supported by their own team.
The race will go across the desert, over the Rockies and the Apellations, across xxx states, from Oceanside to Annapolis.
It is the ultimate cycling challenge, both for the rider and the crew.
Only 2 hours to go now – we just had the last proper shower and breakfast for the next 10 days, and all are ready to go!
Last 3 days have been real busy with planning of a million details, setting up the cars, shopping, going to briefings and inspections, rehearsing crew shifts, navigating, and driving in the right side of the road.
Brian just looks confident and ready for the job, so “no sweat” there ? he has practiced having massages, and has been spinning a couple of rides on the bikes, to make sure they are set up properly after the flight.
So now it we are all just eager to get the race startet. Or as Billy put it: let’s go rock’n’roll!
Pictures are upload to the facebook page, so go there and tick “I Like”
…..also, this is where you could see panic in the eyes of the girls, so we all had to stop and wait, while they went for a final shopping-fix.
And waiting must be the word of this day – first we waited for Brian in the morning (He claimed that Stacey had changed the meeting time) – then we waited for Mark, Shaun and Billy who went to park the cars by a Nestlé office, near the airport (apparently not too near) – then we waited for Billy, who was winner in the security lottery, and had his hand luggage searched thoroughly (to Brians regret, the search didn’t include any stripping or plastic gloves) – and now we are all on the plane (except Alex, who will meet us in L.A.), and people are either reading, sleeping, watching a movie or just letting the thoughts fly, and probably thinking about what is waiting for us, in the coming days and weeks.
In the meantime, here is some greetings from us:
Hi, really looking forward to getting starting now, after all the team preparation, raring to go and rock!!! (Mark)
Hi Mom, please send more money (Charlotte)
Hello, The trip of ultimate teamwork begins so get our rider to beat that record. (shaun)
Hey all, Day one of an amazing Journey and my dad has already been late once. The joys! (Charl w)
Well here we sit, I am through my second movie, legs starting to twitch because this is the second day without riding. Excited to start, scared to start. Roll on Wednesday, when my great crew will do what they are good at, making sure I’m on time, for all the time stations. Just so glad they are here!!! Brian
After months of organizing, weekly phone calls, THAT spreadsheet, making plans A to Z, sponsors in, sponsors out, t shirts not here but then are, we are on the plane. All part of a very special journey and life experience, whatever our role in the team. And, importantly, United Airlines have FANTASTIC leg room! Thanks to the great check in staff. We have a rider, 3 bikes, a crew flying, t shirt and a crew at home. RAAM here we come! Stacey
